PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong extended his congratulations and best wishes to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday yesterday.
Dr Wee, who is also MCA president, posted the congratulatory message on Facebook, with many Malaysians also sharing their own congratulatory messages for the King.
Earlier, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong graced the investiture ceremony of Federal Territories awards, medals and honours at Istana Negara.
Also present at the ceremony, held in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration, was Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
The ceremony is one of six events lined up in conjunction with the official birthday celebration of His Majesty. All the events are scheduled to take place from June 2 to 10.
A total of 1,021 individuals were conferred federal awards, honours and medals in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s official birthday this year.
