KUALA LUMPUR: The new kid on the block, Majoriti, has partnered with the Social Security Organisation (Socso) in efforts to offer exciting content and exclusive benefits to both its readers and consumers.

To mark the start of the new partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was inked by Socso chief executive officer Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed and chief executive officer Alex Yeow at Menara Perkeso yesterday. Witnessing the signing were Socso chief communications officer Izad Raya and Majoriti product lead Chung Eng Lee.

With a focus on delivering reports on current affairs, Majoriti, a Bahasa Malaysia news portal, is set to provide engaging narratives that spark conversations while bringing added value to its consumers together with its strategic partners.

Azman said that the collaboration would help bolster efforts by Socso to promote and inform the public of the various social security initiatives it offers.

“With Majoriti’s support, it will definitely attract more Malaysians who are eligible for these benefits to submit their applications.

“These efforts will increase the public’s awareness on the importance of social security protection while expanding the reach to Malaysians from different layers of society,” he said.

Azman added that he believed in the potential of the Prihatin Perkeso application which was launched on Nov 26 last year as it would become a versatile and comprehensive application for Socso contributors.

“As such, we saw the opportunity for collaboration between Majoriti and the Prihatin Perkeso application as a timely and interesting approach,” he said.

Azman said that there were also many benefits in store for Socso’s contributors as a result of the collaboration.

“Our contributors who intend on subscribing to Majoriti’s portal will be offered lower subscription rates through the use of a unique promo code. This promo code in turn can only be obtained once the users download the Prihatin Perkeso application,” he said.

Azman said app users can enjoy various offers and promos such as sales on lifestyle items and prizes offered on Majoriti.

Similarly, Izad said the collaboration would generate an interesting approach to make the Prihatin Perkeso application more versatile and appealing.

“Apart from offering users the latest information on their contributions, the app also allows them to stay updated on the latest information about Socso whilst enjoying other interesting benefits from our partner like Majoriti.

Chung said Socso’s manifesto of constantly looking towards expanding their offerings for the benefit of their members was in line with Majoriti’s aim of bringing added value to their readers.

“Majoriti is set on reaching the masses to bring them news that matter.

“This partnership with Socso will help us do just that as they are the leading organisation in administering social security protection for workers across every sector nationwide.

“We hope that our consumers will also find Socso’s offerings beneficial,” said Chung.

Chung added that she is excited at the prospect of Socso being a part of Majoriti’s early journey and is looking forward to bringing more options to the table for its readers.

With the tagline of Refleksi Tanpa Prejudis, Majoriti’s manifesto revolves around providing unbiased news and views to the members of the public.
