TWO family members of a college student in Tamil Nadu started a sit-in demonstration in front of the college entrance after she was found dead at a dormitory.

Makkal Osai reported that police were deployed to the nursing college in Chennai.

Apparently, the second-year student of the Chennai-based nursing college had taken her own life.

A similar protest last month by the family of a deceased private school student turned into a full-on riot.

Buses and police vehicles were set on fire while the school was also attacked by rioters leading the police to fire warning shots.

Fearing a repeat, police were quickly deployed to the Tamil Nadu college to prevent any escalation.
