POLICE in Tamil Nadu, India, are looking for a self-proclaimed “god-man” who skipped town after a teenage girl committed suicide at his ashram, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The priest runs an ashram in Thiruvallure where he treats people for various ailments.

One of his patients named Mageswari had gone to the ashram as she had not been able to have a child after two years of marriage.

She stayed at the ashram last week, accompanied by her younger sister Hema Malini, who is a second year computer science student at a nearby college.

While at the ashram, the younger sister apparently consumed poison and fell unconscious.

She was rushed to the hospital but died without regaining consciousness.

When the priest heard of the incident, he immediately left town. Police are now looking for him.

> A total of 32 local Tamil writers, whose books were accepted into the Selangor public library, have received their royalty payments, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Super Mind Dynamic motivational speaker M. Ganesan said the institute had long been working to make these books available for readers through state libraries.
