realme has announced that it is introducing another entry-level device into the Malaysian market, the realme C30. It will come with a very affordable price tag in three different colour options: Bamboo Green, Lake Blue, and Denim.
The C30 is equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display and is encased in a body with a vertically-striped textured back called a “suitcase design” for the green and blue colourways, while the black version has a different texture. Being that it is a low-budget option, the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner but on the bright side, it has 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device has an eight-core Unisoc T612 processor and can be configured with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. While it does not seem like a lot, the phone fortunately has a dedicated microSD slot next to the dual-SIM slots for up to 1TB of additional storage. It also runs on the Go Edition of realme UI based on Android 11.
As for its photography abilities, the C30 is equipped with a single 8MP sensor on the back. Up front, it sports a 5MP selfie camera in the form of a teardrop notch. Connectivity-wise, it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connections as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G LTE, with NFC support notably missing.
The phone features a massive 5,000mAh battery which realme claims can last for 45 days on standby and is able to do 102 hours of continuous audio playback. On Ultra Saving mode, the phone can do over 2 hours of phone calls and over 45 hours of standby time with only 5% battery left. The budget offering also charges using a microUSB port instead of the more modern USB-C, at a speed of 10W.
The realme C30 will be available starting at RM429 for the 3GB+32GB version and RM499 for the 4GB+64GB configuration. The device is set to launch on 16 July through authorised realme stores nationwide and the brand’s Shopee page.
