OnePlus has announced its Cloud 11 launch event that will be taking place early next year that will see the launch of the brand’s upcoming flagship products. Happening on 7 February 2023 in New Delhi, India, the event is described as representing the company’s upgraded technology and performance from “Cloud 9” to “Cloud 11”.

The main highlight of the event will be its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 11 5G. Not much has been officially revealed about the device, but the company has confirmed the return of two-fan-favourite features that were noticeably missing from the OnePlus 10T: the Hasselblad image-tuning for its cameras and the iconic alert slider.

The press release makes no mention of a “OnePlus 11 Pro”, a device that has had both its design and specifications allegedly leaked. The official teaser for the OnePlus 11 seems to be the same device in the apparent render leaks, so it is possible that there won’t be a “Pro” model.

Just to jog your memory, OnePlus straightaway launched last year’s flagship series with the 10 Pro without a vanilla variant. With that in mind, it isn’t implausible for the company to reverse the naming scheme for this year’s lineup.

If the 11 Pro and the 11 are the same device, it is likely to sport the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm and will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 48P ultrawide, and a 32MP telephoto. A recent report also claims that the phone will support 100W wireless charging which, if true, would be a downgrade from the 150W charging speed seen on the 10T.

Another device set to be revealed during the Cloud 11 event is the Buds Pro 2 earbuds, the follow-up to the original Buds Pro. As with the OnePlus 11, not much has been revealed about the audio device but seeing as it carries the “Pro” moniker, it can be assumed that it will offer active noise cancellation.
