nothing phone (2) render

While the debut of the Nothing Phone (2) is possibly still months away, that hasn’t stopped leaksters from doing their thing and posting what are allegedly the specs of the phone. Sunay Gourkhede also revealed an apparent render of the device, which seems to borrow much of the design language from the original Nothing phone.

First, the leakster claims that the Nothing Phone (2) will sport a 6.55-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will apparently also have an under-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with two microphones, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 internal storage, with configurations of between 8GB and 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of memory.

Moreover, the render shows that it will feature the same LED glyph lights on the back, with some minor changes in the corner based on the official teaser from the company. The teaser showed a similar transparent back as its predecessor but with the LED recording indicator housed in a big semi-circle, as well as what looks to be some sort of physical switch.

For the cameras, the post lists a triple camera setup but only named the primary camera, which will use a 50MP sensor with OIS. This would be an upgrade from the Phone (1) which only had two rear lenses.

The leak claims that the Phone (2) will be powered by a standard 5,000mAh with fast charging as well as wireless charging, but it did not specify the charging speeds. On the connectivity side, it will support NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, and, interestingly, even satellite connectivity of some form.

Of course, we already know that the Nothing Phone (2) will be a somewhat premium device, or at least more premium than its predecessor. As of now, the only confirmed spec regarding the phone is that it will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
