Back in November, Garmin launched the Instinct Crossover series, which is its lineup of hybrid GPS smartwatches. The brand has now brought over the series to the Malaysian market, offering smart features in combination with analog watch hands and an impressive battery life targeted to those with an outdoors lifestyle.

The Instinct Crossover sports analog hands overlayed on top of a 1.28-inch digital display, designed with thermal and shock resistant, built to MIL-STD-810, and water-rated to 10 ATM. The hands have a fluorescent coating so they glow in the dark and they will automatically calibrate themselves if the sensors detect that the hands are misaligned to make sure the time is accurate.

Internally, the Garmin smartwatch is equipped with an arsenal of sensors for navigating using GPS tracking, Multi-GNSS support, ABC sensors, TracBack routing, and Reference Point — the Tactical Edition come with night vision compatibility, a stealth mode, dual-format GPS, and a kill switch. As for smartphone connectivity, the device automatically uploads workout data to Garmin connect when synced and it can receive notifications from your phone.

Of course, the watch also has plenty of health and fitness features, with over 30 indoor and outdoor sports modes to track your workouts. The health monitoring tools allow users to measure their VO2 Max levels, sleep health, stress, heart rate, and more.

The most impressive part of the Instinct Crossover series is the battery life, with the solar version claiming that it can last up to 31 days in GPS mode and up to a whopping 70 days in smartwatch mode. For the standard model without a solar panel, it can last 28 days and 25 hours in smartwatch and GPS mode respectively.

The Garmin Instinct Crossover starts from RM2,470 for the standard version, RM2720 for the solar version, and RM2970 for the Tactical Edition which also comes with solar. They can be purchased on Garmin’s Shopee, Lazada, and AECO pages as well as its retail stores.
