EPF special withdrawal programme status KWSP

The Employee’s Provident Fund (EPF, otherwise known as KWSP) has announced that applicants for the special withdrawal programme are able check their eligibility from 9 April onwards. Those who wish to check their application status may do so by visiting the programme’s official page via this link when the time comes.

Just in case you missed it, the EPF has begun accepting applications for its special withdrawal programme earlier this month, which is intended to help those needing financial assistance to cope with challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those interested to apply may do so before 30 April 2022 by visiting the same link mentioned earlier.

It’s also worth noting that the application is only available to EPF members who are below 55 years of age. Additionally, the organisation says that interested individuals are not required to access i-Akaun or visit its kiosks and branches in order to apply for the special withdrawal.

For this programme, applicants are offered withdrawals of up to RM10,000 on a “one-off” basis. The EPF added that payments to approved applications will be made by 20 April 2022.
